Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix is an Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athletically inclined child and developed a passion for sprinting in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt she was ranked in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix finished high school in 2003, and became a part of Adidas a contract as an athlete in professional competition. In the following year, she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She broke an Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 second. She became the youngest 200-meter world champion at the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She consistently placed in the top three of every event.
